The Debt Trap

An absolute mind-fuck. If you're a human this is a book you need to read. How America unleashed a monster, creating something even worse than the 2008 financial crisis. How government incompetence allowed a system to metastasize into an unstoppable cancer on society. Biden's current plans to cancel student debt is simply not addressing the root cause of the issue, it's simply not enough. If debt relief is the only thing you're willing to do to help these students, may god have mercy on the next generation. Because as soon as you relieve debt you've given the whores are the student account offices something far more dangerous — precedent, that they will get bailed out no matter how fucking egregious their tuition costs are.

I felt absolutely sick to my stomach reading this.

The Debt Trap tells the story of how students loans ended up morphing into "rapacious system that one of its original architects called a monster."

The Debt Trap is not just a story about student debt — it's about greed, exploitation and indefinite optimism. An absolute mandatory story for every student, parent and educator.

I can't do this book justice with a couple paragraphs. I demand that you read it yourself
